Dr. Donn Colby is a clinical research physician at the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Center in Bangkok, Thailand. He works on the SEARCH 010 cohort of acute HIV infection and leads the PrEP-30 project to provide pre-exposure prophylaxis for low cost to people at high-risk for HIV infection.
Dr. Donn has been working in Asia since 2001. Before moving to Bangkok in 2013, he worked for many years in Vietnam, where he provided training on the clinical care of HIV infection and established the first MSM-lead NGO to conduct health services research by and for the LGBT community.
Dr. Donn did his medical training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA, and his clinical training in Internal Medicine and his Master degree in public health (MPH) at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. He is the author of 3 book chapters and over 40 peer-reviewed publications on HIV/AIDS.
