IGNITE! Mentorship Programme
High-impact mentoring programme for young community advocates in Asia and the Pacific
We catalyse the making of a future generation of change-makers by providing guidance and support to Youth Voices Count (YVC) – a youth initiative led by young MSM and trans individuals in Asia and the Pacific.
Programme highlights
Focusing on up-and-coming young leaders
Meetings needs of both young MSM and transgender people
Engaging 12 mentees across 5 sub-regions
Using new technologies to increase services

Recognising the urgency for upcoming young MSM and young transgender leaders in the region to take the ownership of the movement, APCOM and YVC initiates the IGNITE! programme. IGNITE! exclusively provides mentorship to foster young leaders with the ability to effectively raise their voices for the rights and issues of their own communities.
IGNITE! provides additional and community specific activities and workshops on HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, sexual and reproductive health and rights, human rights, strategic communication, project management, and monitoring and evaluation, including issues concerning young people, and people of diverse gender and sexuality.
Participants benefit from having access to new information, guidance, and advice from a network of peers and experts who can support them through difficult and challenging situations. All of these elements are incorporated in a comprehensive package, delivered in a fun and engaging way.
